Hi there.
I’m Ethropic Burnett.
My friends call me E.
I’m running for City Council to make
our municipal government transparent,
accessible, and accountable to
every resident of Ward 5.
I’ve spent my career fighting for justice as a passionate advocate and public servant, working alongside families to create equitable solutions in housing, education, safety, and community development.
Over the past seven years, I have worked for the City of Minneapolis in various roles, including as an aide for former 4th Ward Council Member Phillipe Cunningham, for the Neighborhood & Community Relations (NCR) Department, the Office of Violence Prevention, and currently in the Division of Oversight and Evaluation in the City Auditor’s Office.
Whether stabilizing housing for families, creating pathways to success for students, or spearheading violence prevention initiatives, I have witnessed the profound impact of empathetic listening, purposeful leadership, and decisive action.
Now, I’m running for City Council to make our local government transparent, accessible, and accountable to every resident of Ward 5. Together, we can build a stronger, more connected community that works for everyone.
Join us in shaping a Minneapolis that not only serves its residents but partners with them to build a thriving, equitable future for all.
Get involved.
